Abstract:Deep stall landing is a space saving landing method for fixed-wing aircraft. In this paper, the deep stall landing strategy is investigated for small fixed-wing aircraft aided by morphing parts. The dynamic model of morphing aircraft in deep stall state is constructed, and the aerodynamic characteristics of deep stall state is analyzed. Then, a reference trajectory for deep stall landing is designed, and a control law is designed to ensure the trajectory tracking of the aircraft. Simulation results demonstrate the successful deep stall landing, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed landing strategy.
