Research on Characteristics of DC Arc Fault Based on Wavelet Transform

Abstract:Due to the randomness in time and space and unobvious characteristics, it is difficult to detect the DC arc fault. To solve the problem, this paper mainly studies the characteristics of DC arc fault in 270V high voltage DC power supply system. Wavelet transform is used to extract the frequency domain characteristic of the AC component of current in normal and arc fault state. The sum of amplitude squared of four level db20 wavelet is chosen as the characteristic in this paper, which can clearly distinguish normal and arc faults state. The ratio of arc fault characteristics to normal characteristics increases. © 2018 IEEE.
