Abstract:In this paper, a perfectly matched layer (PML) absorbing boundary condition are implemented for the unconditionally stable Associated Hermite (AH) FDTD method. This leads to a high flexibility to analyze electromagnetic scattering problems, in terms of using a more efficient absorbing boundary condition to truncate computational domain. A numerical example of scattering from a 2-D rectangular loss dielectric medium is presented to validate the efficiency and accuracy.
