Supervisor of Doctorate Candidates  

Profile

Linglong (Steven) Zhang joined Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in May 2021 who has been appointed as an associate professor.

Now he is a supervisor for Ph.D. and master's candidates specializing in applied physics.

He plans to hire one Ph.D. and two master's candidates each year. We welcome talented youths who aspire to achieve great things to join us.

He was given Double-innovation Phd from Jiang Su province government in 2022. 

In 2023,he was selected as Changkong Scholar at NUAA.

Dr Zhang was awarded PhD degree by Nanjing University, College of Electronics and Science in June 2019. His supervisor is Prof SHI Yi and Prof WANG Xinran, both of whom are the winners of outstanding youth funding and Changjiang scholar. Afterward, he worked as a research fellow in the Australian National University that ranks in Top 30 in the world from June 2019 to May 2021.  At that time, his supervisor is Laureate fellow Ping Koy Lam and Associate professor LU Yuerui, as well as Prof WANG Guoping who is a winner of outstanding youth funding.

To date, he has published more than 18 Q1 papers on high-impact journals, including Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials and Materials today, etc. As first or co-first authors, he has 7 Q1 papers. Moreover, he is the corresponding author and first author of a book chapter entitled 'Organic anisotropic 2D materials for next-generation optoelectronics'.


Research interests:

Novel nanomaterials and optoelectronics, as well as Lithium metal batteries.
