Abstract:An accurate model of wound-excited doubly salient machines (WEDSM) is the basis of the WEDSM research. The traditional modeling method establishes the WEDSM model by constructing the model of armature winding's inductances or flux linkage. This method is not applied to the power generator system of WEDSM although the armature reaction is taken into account but the effect of the excitation magnetic field is neglected. In this paper, a novel nonlinear modeling method of the self-inductance of the armature winding Lpand the mutual inductance between armature windings and the field winding Lpfwas presented. This method, based on the analysis of the inductance characteristic of WEDSM and the influence of the excitation magnetic field and armature reaction on inductances, established a model of Lpand Lpfby fitting the influence coefficients where both the excitation current and the armature current are simultaneously taken into consideration. Furthermore, a new method used for establishing the self-inductance of the excitation winding Lfwas proposed, which is based on the characteristic that Lfis determined by the armature current of the stator teeth under the same conditions of the excitation current when the rotor teeth are aligned with the stator teeth. On this basis, a model of power generator systems was established. A series of comparisons between the simulation results of the model, the simulation results of the finite element software and experiment were provided to verify the accuracy of this proposed WEDSM model. © 2017 Chin.
