摘要:Water quality modeling (WQM) faces enormous uncertainties due principally to process complexity representation and data limitations. Its uncertainties can never be entirely eliminated but can be managed by an uncertainty assessment (UA) approach that enhances confidence in both modeling process decisions and its outcomes. A paradigm shift from uncertainty analysis of a model to broader UA is vital for testing assumptions and evaluating model reliability from multiple methods, assumptions and perspectives.
