Abstract:This paper presents an optimal predictive control method to suppress the hypersonic airfoil flutter and the airfoil flutter damage. Firstly, a three-degree-of-freedom (3DOF) airfoil flutter model is established and the airfoil flutter responses are analyzed in the Hopf bifurcation points. Subsequently, the optimal predictive control is employed to control the airfoil flutter by optimizing a cost function. In addition, the asymptotical stability of the airfoil flutter system is achieved. Then, several simulations are carried out to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed flutter suppression problem for hypersonic flight vehicles. © 2018 IEEE.
