Abstract:Due to the fact that the cables in aircraft power system are complex, of large number branch points and hard to detect, this paper proposes a fault diagnosis method for Y shaped cable network combining the optimized search algorithm with Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry (SSTDR) by using the relationship between the reflection coefficient of the faulty branch and the detection port, based on the common Y shaped cable network. In case of the known structure, faults in Y shaped cable network can be detected and located online quickly and accurately, with the reconstruction of the faulty structure. Compared with the traditional detection method, it can improve the shortcomings of offline and the low speed of detection, and have a theoretical guidance for practical application.
