Hamed Badihi received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Concordia University, Montréal, Québec, Canada, in 2016. He was a Horizon Postdoctoral Fellow with Concordia University for two years. Dr. Badihi is currently an Associate Professor with the College of Automation Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China. His research interests are in all aspects of condition monitoring, fault detection and diagnosis (FDD), fault-tolerant control (FTC) and fault-tolerant cooperative control (FTCC) when applied to problems in energy systems. Specific research areas include: wind turbines and wind farms, hybrid power systems, large-scale renewable power integration to the grid, smart grids, and smart city.
Dr. Badihi is a member of IEEE Control Systems Society and Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME). He also has been working as a Reviewer for several journals such as Automatica, and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and was recognized as one of the 'Outstanding Reviewers' for the journal of Applied Energy in 2017.
