Dr. Chen Jiajia received his BEng. (Hons) and PhD from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University in 2004 and 2010 respectively in Singapore. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Chen was with the School of Engineering, Ngee Ann Polytechnic Singapore as Lecturer. From 2012 to 2018, he has been with Singapore University of Technology and Design as faculty member and PhD advisor. Since April 2018, he has been with the College of Electronic and Information Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, where he is presently a Professor. Dr Chen’s research interests include digital IC design, VLSI and digital signal processing. Dr. Chen has successfully attracted a total of 300,000 Singapore Dollors (around 1.5Million RMB) research fund as Principal Investigator or Collaborator, from national research centers and Ministry of Education in Singapore. Dr. Chen has also been awarded with a total of 380,000 Singapore Dollors (around 1.8Million RMB) Graduate Reseearch Student Fund from Ministry of Education in Singapore.

While conducting research, Dr Chen has led and participated in academic activities. He was the Web Chair, member of the organizing committee of 10th Asia-Pacific Computer Systems Architecture Conference 2005. He was an invited speaker at IEEE Circuits and Systems Singapore Chapter Graduated Students Workshop 2007.  He was the Chair of the PhD forum of 2018 Asia-pacific Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference. He served as Technical Program Committee member of European Signal Processing Conference 2014 and the Third IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Big Data 2017. He has been the Associate Editor of EURASIP Journal on Embedded Systems, Springer, since 2016.
