Abstract:To meet the requirements of response prediction and dynamic optimization design, the vibration characteristics of a new mechanical elastic wheel (MEW) were studied by combining the finite element calculation and testing experiments. The frequency of the vibration modes and the corresponding vibration modes were obtained through the finite element analysis. In combination with the analysis results of parameter sensitivity and the test modes, the finite element model of MEW was updated. On the basis of the theory of inner product correlation, correlative analysis of the modal parameters that were obtained from the updated finite element calculation and experiments was conducted. Results from the correlative analysis proved the validity of the finite element modeling and updated method. The precision of the updated finite element model was improved to the point where the calculation result could accurately reflect the structure characteristics of the MEW, providing a reference for further study on dynamic optimization design of wheel structures. © 2017, Editorial Department of Journal of HEU.
