    Kinetic Analysis and Characterization of Microwave Curing Process of Epoxy Resins Reinforced with Al2O3Particles

    摘要:The Avrami method was utilized to study the effect of Al2O3content on the apparent activation energy of microwave curing for E51/diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) system. Differential scanning calorimeter method, dynamic mechanical analysis, mechanical performance test and scanning electron microscopic images were used to study the thermal properties, mechanical properties and micromorphology E51/DDS system. The results show that the addition of Al2O3could significantly reduce the activation energy of microwave curing. Compared with the non-additive system, when the mass fraction of Al2O3reaches 40%, the activation energy is decreased by 19.3%. The glass transition temperature of E51/DDS system is improved by adding Al2O3and the increase amplitude is positively correlated with the content. The loss module decreases with the content of Al2O3caused by the particle reinforcement. The tensile and flexural module of E51/DDS system increase with increase of the Al2O3content while the tensile and flexural strength increase firstly and then decrease with the optimum additive amount of 30%. The fracture morphology analysis indicates that the existence of Al2O3hinder the propagation of micro-crack and more energy is consumed, thus improving the mechanical performance of E51/DDS epoxy cast. © 2017, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
