A Novel Active Multi-Function Polarization Conversion Metasurface

摘要:In this paper, a multi-layer and multi-function broadband metasurface has been designed. It can switch from polarization conversion to polarization separator through changing the PIN diodes status on the top and bottom layer. The polarization conversion unit can convert co-polarization into cross-polarization from 9.8 GHz to 40.4 GHz with the conversion efficiency over 90%. The polarization separator unit can forward transmit the co-polarization and backward reflect the cross-polarization from 17 GHz to 29.8 GHz. © 2018 IEEE.
