Abstract:Huge energy consumption is always essential in large-scale desalination technology, and relevant adverse impact on the surroundings from the concentrated solution with high salinity is ignored. In the paper, a zero-emission desalination system (ZEDS), including the single stage and the multi-stage, based on mechanical vapor compression (MVC) is proposed. Mathematical models of the desalination system corresponding to the proposed ZEDS are established, and then energy and exergy analysis are achieved to investigate the performance of the desalination system. It is found that the MVC based desalination system is available to achieve the aim of zero-emission. The simulation results both from the energy and exergy analysis show that the design of the multi-stage ZEDS is beneficial to reduce the total compressor power compared to the single stage system although the profit magnitude will decrease with the increase of the stage number. 何纬峰, 工学博士, 香港理工大学香江学者,南京航空航天大学长空学者,江苏省双创计划科技副总,第十七批江苏省科技镇长团(苏州市新能源)成员。主要从事掺氢燃气轮机及湿空气透平(HAT)气动热力学、加湿除湿空气循环海水淡化及废水零排放蒸发系统集成优化、蒸汽及特殊工质透平设计优化、多组分相变系统热质耦合强化、介电润湿系统电水动力学等方面的教学和科研工作。主持参加了包括国家自然科学基金(青年及面上)、国家重点研发计划子课题、香江学者计划、江苏省自然科学基金、江苏省重点研发计划,国家重点实验室开放基金等科研项目20余项,相关成果获山西省电力公司科技进步一等奖1项,南京航空航天大学科学技术二等奖1项,发表SCI论文80余篇,撰写英文专著7章,H因子28,累计他引2000余次,授权发明专利30余项。长期担任国家自然科学基金项目评审专家, SCI期刊Sustainability编委,Frontiers in Energy Research客座编辑, 国际应用能源会议ICAE分会主席,《Applied Energy》、《Desalination》、《Energy Conversion and Management》、《International Journal of Hydrogen Energy》、《西安交通大学学报》、《工程热物理学报》等十几种国际知名期刊及国际会议审稿人。
近年来,指导学生参加节能减排大赛,江苏省大学生水创意设计大赛,全国机械工业设计创新大赛及大学生创新创业训练计划等竞赛和项目,并获多次奖励;指导的研究生学术成果丰硕,多人次获研究生国家奖学金及优秀毕业生等称号,1人获交叉学科协同培养优秀研究生。
所在先进节能研究组(Advanced Energy Conservation Research Group, AECRG)长期从事能源系统及其核心设备节能诊断和性能强化方面的研究,在热法海水淡化、蒸发浓缩及废水零排放(基于加湿除湿空气循环及机械蒸汽再压缩, HDH和MVR),航空动力及地面发电用透平机械,热质耦合强化等领域积累了丰硕的研究成果并获得了产业化应用,欢迎具有工程热物理,叶轮机械及流体机械相关背景的优秀青年(包括留学生)报考硕士和博士研究生!
