Abstract:A finite element model updating method considering the uncertainty of measured modal parameters is proposed. Firstly, assuming the measured modal parameters as the summation of a deterministic part and a random part, the model updating problem considering uncertainty is transformed into the correction of the mean and covariance of structural parameters. Then, on the basis of perturbation method and sensitivity method, the iterative equations of statistical characteristics of the structural parameters are presented. Besides, the Tikhonov regularization method is introduced to overcome the inversion instability, while the matrix is ill-conditioned due to the uncertain parameters. Finally, validation of the proposed method is demonstrated by numerical simulation and experiment. © 2017, Editorial Board of Journal of Vibration Engineering. All right reserved.
