Abstract:FWorks, an integrated digital simulation platform designed for collaborative research and development on Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) systems for aircraft engines, is presented in this paper. The internet-based and an open architecture simulation platform, containing baselined numerical models for aircrafts, engines, FADEC systems and components, provides multiple users with flexibility, concurrently and remotely, to construct new or change existing models and control algorithms, to integrate the engine and FADEC system models, and to verify FADEC system interfaces, functionalities and performance.
