Abstract:Grid harmonic suppression and robustness to the grid impedance are two major concerns for grid-connected inverters under weak grid. Traditional Grid Voltage Feedforward compensation and Harmonic Quasi Resonant controllers are adopted for harmonic suppression and output impedance reshaping. However, control effect is unsatisfied and instability maybe triggered due to the non-negligible grid impedance. Therefore, this paper proposes to insert a UPQC-based converter in series with the grid-connected inverter. In this way, both high modulus and passivity of output impedance are guaranteed, which ensures better performance on wide range of harmonic suppression and robustness to grid impedance. Application can be extended to n-parallel inverters to enlarge stable operation region. The validation of the proposed method is verified by simulation. © 2018 IEEE.
