Abstract:Properties of metasurface with controllable phase and amplitude are studied using the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method. To do this, susceptibilities are used to describe the metasurface properties and the generalized sheet transition conditions (GSTCs) are applied in the FDTD. Designs of controllable phase and amplitude are proposed, simulated and validated. Results show that metasurface with arbitrary transmission properties can be achieved. © 2019 IEEE.
