Profile

Dr. Wang are engaged in research on the application of radiation technology in advanced polymer materials. After graduating from the University of Science and Technology of China with a bachelor's degree in 2009 and obtaining a Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2015 under the guidance of Professor Xuewu Ge, he has been conducting research at the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry, China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP), and the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (as postdoctoral research, cooperating with Professor Xuemin Du). Currently, Dr. Wang is a full-time teacher and researcher at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.


He has published a total of 41 SCI papers, cited more than 1100 times, with an h-index of 18. Among them, as the first author (including co-first author) or corresponding author, he has published 13 papers in internationally important journals such as Cell sub-journal Matter (2 papers), Materials Horizons, Journal of Materials Chemistry B/C, Langmuir, Materials Letters, etc. Multiple articles have been selected as cover/back/inside features by well-known international journals such as Matter and Materials Horizons. He has filed 4 invention patents, and of which 1 has been granted. He has been granted as the principal investigator of a National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, and one startup fund from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and one basic research fund from the central university. He has participated in two national key research and development programs (including being responsible for one subtask) and multiple National Natural Science Foundation projects. Dr. Wang has serve as a reviewer for journals such as Cell Reports Physical Science, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Chemical Engineering Journal, Materials Science & Engineering C, Colloids And Surfaces A, Nano LIFE, etc.

Research interests:


1. Application of Smart Responsive Materials for Hazardous Environmental Warning

Based on the interaction between photonic crystals and radiation, various photonic crystal materials and alarm materials sensitive to hazardous environments (including radiation fields) and disease factors have been developed. A radiation-responsive full-spectrum colorimetric dosimeter has been innovatively proposed. The related achievements have been published in Cell sister journal Matter, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, and other journals.

2. Multi-color Printing Technology based on Smart Responsive Materials

Radiation technology is used to fabricate rewritable photonic paper, which is employed in advanced full-color printing techniques such as optical printing and ultraviolet printing. The related achievements have been published in Materials Horizons, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, and other journals.

3. Application of Smart Responsive Materials in Energy Aspects

The combination of radiation technology and smart responsive materials is explored for applications in nuclear energy, salinity gradient energy utilization, and other areas. Related papers have been published in Materials Letters, ACS Applied Polymer Science, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, and other journals.
