Supervisor of Doctorate Candidates
Prof. Xiaolei Wang has started his research career on tribology since 1985 when he got his first job in China University of Mining & Technology, mainly concentrated on the technique of condition monitoring and failure diagnosis, including ferrograph and oil analysis. From 1997, the time in Tohoku University, his research interest moved to water lubrication and surface texturing. These researches were continued when he worked in National Institute of Standards & Technology as a guest researcher from 2003 to 2005, and currently in Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics (NUAA).
He has built up the Tibology & Surface Engineering Lab in NUAA, in which more than 60 students have obtained master degree, more than 10 students have obtained Ph.D degree.
He has published more than 100 scientific articles, which have been cited more than 5000 times in Google Scholar.
