Abstract:A simple design of single-feed polarization-reconfigurable microstrip antenna is presented in this paper. The antenna includes a circular radiating patch, a probe feed, and two parasitic pins. Through tuning the reactive loads between the parasitic pins and the ground plane, the antenna's polarization can be reconfigured among linear polarization, right hand circular polarization, and left hand circular polarization. Simulation results demonstrate a return loss bandwidth of 133 MHz and axial ratio bandwidth of 30 MHz in S-band.
