Abstract:Complicated procedures for load identification are generally required in the traditional transfer path analysis (TPA). To improve the efficiency of modeling and experiment, the advanced transfer path analysis method based on the transfer function has been put forward. In the paper, an improved method based on the advanced transfer path analysis, named as N-TPA, was proposed. A normalization procedure was applied to calculate the absolute transmissibility functions in order to reduce the ill-conditioned problem. Also the principal component analysis (PCA) in frequency domain was used to calculate and estimate the contribution rank of each subsystem. A four degrees of freedom spring-mass model was utilized to validate the N-TPA method, and then the model was updated according to the contribution analysis results. The new method was also applied to the transfer path analysis test of a famous plane model. The N-TPA method shows its good performance in both the precision and test time. © 2018, Editorial Office of Journal of Vibration and Shock. All right reserved.
