Power management development for FWorks

Abstract:FWorks, the acronym for FADEC Works, is a new digital simulation platform, developed for research on aircraft engine control system design, development, testing and integration. Power Management is a function of FWorks, which generates the control reference for the main control loop of the aircraft engine from the aircraft throttle resolver angle and flight conditions, and ensures that the engine produces the required thrust by the aircraft over the full flight envelope. In this paper a method is proposed to develop such a power management scheme, and the preliminary design for cruise flight phase is integrated into and validated in FWorks. © 2017 IEEE.
