Abstract:In the paper several numerical simulations are carried out for investigating the influence of geometry configuration variations of an unmanned sea-sky general reconnaissance on the propulsive force of its counter rotation propeller when cruises in the air. 3-D Euler equations together with momentum source method is employed under the consideration of its higher efficiency and the acceptable- accuracy. The feasibility and the accuracy of the simulating methods are demonstrated firstly. Then contrast analysis of cases with and without fuselage and those with different distance toward the rear part of fuselage are made. The results shows that both distance between the counter rotation propeller and the rear part of fuselage and that between the front propeller and the aft one do affect the propulsive force of solo propeller and twin propeller. © 2019 The Vertical Flight Society.
