Abstract:The government holds manufactures responsible for product recovery and product design. To research the impact of government regulation on operation of closed-loop supply chain with dual responsibilities and dual channels, a three stage game model which composed of government, manufacturer, retailer and recycle was constructed. Through analyzing the optimal decision and profit of stakeholders under government regulation, the results showed that: levy had a greater effect on the online channel than the offline channel caused by channel competition, and subsidy had a greater effect on the recycling of third- party; a threshold value of the level of product disassembly under sales section was existed, which had a different effect on the pricing of two sale channels; the social welfare was an inverted U-shaped concave function of government regulation, and there was an optimal regulation level existed in levy and subsidy which played a positive role on product recycling; government had an expected environment requirement for product design of manufacturer under the policy of “a subtraction”, if product design met the requirements, government would reduce levy and guide the manufacturers responsible for product design. © 2017, Editorial Department of CIMS.
