Abstract:In the hardware-in-the-loop calculation of the wideband radar target echo signal, the system needs to meet the requirements of real-time and simulation accuracy simultaneously. A method of wideband radar target echo signal simulation based on linear frequency modulation (LFM) sub-pulse is proposed, which divides the LFM pulse signal into several narrowband and short-term linear frequency modulation pulses, and reconstructs the broadband target echo signal of the full pulse by calculating the target echo signal which corresponds to each sub-pulse. The computational load and the requirement for the hardware resources of the algorithm can be efficiently reduced, thus the real-time performance of the algorithm is improved as well. The computer simulation demonstrates that this method is feasible and has high calculation accuracy. © 2017, Editorial Office of Systems Engineering and Electronics. All right reserved.
