Abstract:We introduce compact quantum metric spaces and quantum Gromov–Hausdorff distance defined by Rieffel and quantum Gromov–Hausdorff propinquity recently defined by Latremoliere, and discuss the question of how matrix algebras converge to the sphere in both quantum distances, respectively.
