Zhi Lian, Tenure-Track Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, Youth Talent in the National Major Talent Program A. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Automation from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and was admitted to the university's direct-entry master's and Ph.D. program. In 2019, she was awarded the CSC-Adelaide University Joint Scholarship and pursued her Ph.D. at the University of Adelaide. In 2022, she earned her Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering from the University of Adelaide, followed by postdoctoral research at the same institution from 2022 to 2023. In 2024, she joined the School of Automation at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Her research areas encompass intelligent control theory and methods, cyber-physical systems, and UAV flight control and swarm intelligence. She has published nearly 20 first-author academic papers in prestigious international journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions. She has led and participated in multiple national and provincial-level research projects. She has received numerous honors and awards, including the "National Scholarship for Master's Students," "National Scholarship for Doctoral Students," "Best Paper Award at the 15th International Conference on Innovative Computing, Information and Control," "Outstanding Reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics," "University of Adelaide Excellent Ph.D. Thesis," "University of Adelaide Research Medal," and the "Gertrude Rohan Memorial Prize."

She is a member of IEEE, the Chinese Association of Automation, and the Jiangsu Association of Automation. She is an editor for the international journal TCYB. Additionally, she has been invited to serve on the editorial boards of journals such as Journal of Sensors and Control Science and Engineering, and she regularly reviews papers for journals including TFS, TCYB, TSMC: Systems, and TAC.
