GUO Nan
Ph.D, Associate Professor
Research interests include 1) Distributed optical fiber sensing system integrated with Image Processing and Optical Imaging; 2) Applications of Distributed optical fiber sensors in complex practical scenarios; 3) Brillouin imaging/Brillouin microscopy.
He received his B.Eng. degree from Nanjing University, China, in 2011 and his Ph.D. from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR, China, in 2018. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow till 2020. In June 2020, he joined, as a lecturer, College of Optoelectronic Engineering, Chongqing University, China. Since June 2024, he has been an Associate Professor with the Key Laboratory of Space Photoelectric Detection and Perception, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, College of Astronautics, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China. His current research interests include optical fiber sensing systems, advanced algorithms of optical fiber sensors, and optical imaging. He has been working for over a decade on Distributed optical fiber sensing systems, as well as the corresponiding advanced algorithms and the engineering application solutions of the technology.
He has published over 40 papers on journals including IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology, Optics Letter, Optics Express. At the same time, he has been invited to Conferences such as C LEO, OFS, CLEO-PR, ACP, and CIOP, to present his research works. He was also in charge of research projects including National Natural Scientific Foundation of China. He participated to organize conferences or workshops such as ACP 2015, CLEO-PR 2018, Symposium on Research Frontiers and Hot Topics of Opitcs and Photonics 2019. He has been working as reviewers with journals of Photonics Research, IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology, Optics Letter, Optics Express.
