Abstract:A conventional 3-phase-1-phase matrix converter (3-1MC) has no large capacity storage unit in the intermediate links, and the output single-phase pulsating power is coupled to the input side. Therefore, the low-frequency harmonic is introduced into the input current. To eliminate this defect, a time-domain mathematical model was established based on the topology structure of pulse power compensation on the output side, and the influences of the topology structure on modulation function, voltage transmission rate, and other system parameters were analyzed. In addition, a cascade double-closed-loop control strategy was proposed. By establishing the transfer function of the control system, the setting method of the parameters in the 3-1MC double-closed-loop control was then provided. Finally, the simulation analysis of the proposed strategy was performed under the power compensation topology. The results show that the proposed control strategy achieves the decoupling of input and output power and exhibits good static and dynamic performance. The parameter tuning of this strategy is simple and suitable for practical engineering applications. © 2018, Editorial Department of Journal of HEU. All right reserved.
