Xin Chen received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, China, in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He is a professor of Department of Electrical Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He was a Chief Engineer (2001–2003) in Power Division of ZTE Corporation, and a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Future Energy Systems, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA.
His current research interests include key power conversion technologies for new energy power generation, modeling and control of distributed generation and microgrid systems, and stability analysis of integrated new energy power systems.
In recent years, he has presided over dozens of scientific research projects including the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China, the National key basic research development program, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 50 papers indexed by SCI or EI, including ESI highly cited paper, annual excellent paper, top academic papers in China's high-quality scientific and technological journals, and some most concerned papers.
He serves as invited reviewers for important journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, IET power electronics, Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, and Chinese Journal of Electrotechnical Technology. And he was awarded as an excellent reviewer of Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering.
