Polynomial chaos expansion robust optimization design for complex equipment products

Abstract:To solve quality variation and low optimization efficiency of difficult engineering problems of complicated equipment products which under random uncertain conditions in precision engineering, aerospace, micro-electromechanical systems, the new method combined with polynomial chaos expansion theory and six sigma robust optimization designs was presented. Based on stochastic response surface and finite element method, the polynomial chaos extension surrogate model for target response and constraint response of complex equipment products was established. A polynomial chaos extension six sigma robust optimization design model was built on this basis, and NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm was utilized to solve the model. The numerical results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2018, Editorial Department of CIMS. All right reserved.
