On the Impedance Modelling and Grid-connected Characteristics of the Three-phase Droop Controlled Inverter

摘要:Distributed generation systems are usually connected to the utility grid through long distance power transmission line. The existence of line impedance has given rise to many problems such as harmonic oscillation or system oscillation. Impedance stability analysis is a widely accepted method to study the stability feature of the interconnection system. The harmonic linearization method was utilized to establish the sequence impedance model of the droop-controlled three-phase grid-connected inverter (DCI) that included power loop and phase disturbance. Then, the concept of double mirror frequency coupling effect and its relationship with power loop was stated, and the influence of droop coefficients on the impedance model was elaborated. The impedance and grid-connected characteristic of DCI and current controlled inverter (CCI) were further discussed. In contrast, the DCI shows more advantages over CCI in terms of the grid-connected stability. The stability of droop-controlled three-phase grid-connected inverter and power grids interconnected system was detailed analyzed with the impedance models. Besides, a virtual impedance method, which could effectively improve the phase margin and robust stability of interconnected system, was put forward. Finally, the above theory is verified by simulation and experiments. © 2019 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.
