个人简介

Dr. Omer Musa (Master's Supervisor) is an Associate Professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology (2017), where his research focused on experimental and numerical investigations of swirling flow effects in solid-fuel ramjet combustion. With 60+ peer-reviewed articles published in leading SCI-indexed journals such as AIAA JournalPhysics of FluidsAerospace Science and Technology, Acta Astronautica, and Applied Thermal Engineering, Dr. Musa has established expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), turbulence modeling, combustion, and hypersonic propulsion systems, e.g., ramjet combustion and intakes design.

 

He has secured multiple competitive grants as a principal investigator, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for International Young Scientists, the Jiangsu Postdoctoral Research Foundation, and the Talented Young Scientist Program (TYSP). Dr. Musa serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Conclusions in Engineering, FES Journal of Engineering Sciences (2018–2023), Guest Editor for Aerospace (MDPI), and Associate Editor for several international journals. He is an active reviewer for over 20 top-tier SCI journals and holds memberships in prestigious organizations such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Asian Chemical Society.

 

His research contributions include pioneering studies on hypersonic intakes, swirling flow combustion optimization, and high-order numerical schemes for hyperbolic conservation laws. Dr. Musa is also recognized for his academic leadership, having supervised undergraduate projects and contributed to fluid dynamics and thermodynamics curriculum development. Awarded the Outstanding International Student scholarship by the China Scholarship Council (2016) and multiple university prizes for academic excellence, Dr. Musa continues to advance aerospace engineering through interdisciplinary research and international collaboration.
